BioKid is a learning app made for children, and we built it so that families never have to worry about privacy. This policy explains in plain language exactly what the app does with data, and the short version is that it does almost nothing, on purpose.
BioKid collects no personal information. There are no accounts, no sign ups, and no logins. The app never asks for your child's name, email address, phone number, or any other detail that could identify them. Because we never ask for this information, we never receive it and we never store it.
All of your child's progress stays on their own device. Everything the app keeps track of, including XP, streaks, stars, and level completion, is saved locally on the iPhone or iPad using Apple's standard storage. This data never leaves the device and is never sent to us or to anyone else.
The app makes no network requests and has no backend. BioKid does not connect to the internet to move your child's information anywhere, and there is no server or database on our end that holds it. What happens in the app stays in the app.
There are no ads, no third party kits or tools inside the app, no analytics, and no tracking of any kind. We do not build profiles of your child, we do not watch how they behave, and we have nothing to sell or share with anyone, because none of that data exists.
BioKid is designed for children and is fully compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, also known as COPPA. Because the app collects no personal information at all, it meets the strongest version of that standard rather than just the minimum.
You stay in full control of your child's data. Since everything lives on the device, you can erase all of it at any time by simply uninstalling the app. Removing BioKid deletes every bit of saved progress along with it, with nothing left behind anywhere else.
