Shubho is a youth led nonprofit teaching biotechnology in schools that don't otherwise teach it. Our student instructors deliver short classroom modules on topics like gene editing, vaccines, and GMOs. Each module has a pretest and posttest so we can measure whether students actually learned anything. We publish the results.
Every module ends with a civic close: a real bill, a real comment period, a real action students can take that week. The classroom and the policy work feed each other. Students don't just learn what biotech is, they leave with somewhere to put what they know.
Shubho runs as a small flat team. Members work on the curriculum, deliver lessons, run policy tracking, and tell the story. There are no directors or VPs. The board of directors oversees the org. Everything else is teams of equals.
We measure ourselves in students taught, schools partnered, learning gain per assessment, comments driven, and bills tracked. We publish all of it.
